About Us
Our Story Starts with Family
From a Sicilian dream to a Mt. Laurel tradition—this is the story of Angelo’s Pizzeria.
In 1959, Salvatore Cusumano left his hometown of Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily and came to the United States in search of opportunity. By day, he worked construction—helping build some of New York City’s most iconic landmarks, from Madison Square Garden to the World Trade Center. But his true passion? Food.
After hours, Salvatore spent his time learning the art of pizza in Brooklyn’s busy kitchens. A few years later, he opened Riccardo’s, his first pizzeria, serving fresh pies and pasta to the families of Brooklyn. His dream grew—and so did his family.

Eventually, Salvatore moved to Burlington County, NJ, where his sons carried on the legacy by opening their own pizzerias. And in time, Angelo’s Pizza was born.
Today, that legacy lives on through a third generation. Still family-owned. Still committed to quality. And still making pizza the way Salvatore would’ve wanted—simple, honest, and full of flavor.
We believe food brings people together. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick slice or catering a family celebration, we’re honored to be part of your story. From our family to yours—thank you for making us a part of the Mt. Laurel community for all these years.
